Qurban Project

Qurban Donation Project

Qurban donation is not only a charity project for our foundation, but also a way of touching different lives while fulfilling one of the requirements of our religion. One of the clearest commands of our God for the worship of sacrifice is: “Now serve your God and sacrifice.” (Kevser 108/2). Therefore, by sacrificing and by donating qurban, we are serving our God. For this reason, sacrificing qurban is among our projects that we cherish and approach with a completely different sensitivity as the European Aid Foundation.

The virtue of sacrifice, which is a symbol of helping and sharing, is expressed in the Qur’an as follows: “Neither their meet nor their blood reaches Allah. But your taqwa reaches him.” (Hacc, 37). Offering and sacrificial donations, which are included in our holy book and which are given great importance by or religion; it is the worship of taqwa and sincerity, cooperation and sharing, unity and solidarity, and purification from sins. Sacrificing qurban is attainment. Sacrificing qurban is getting closer to God. Sacrificing qurban is embracing.

Sacrifice has been the name of both individual and social purification throughout the history. Sacrifice is a person’s being purified from everything and reuniting with their God. The best way to show that we, as Muslims, are different parts of one body, is to experience the joy of the holiday together and to help each other. Our God has gifted us the worship of sacrifice and the Eid-al-Adha as a door of taqwa. As it is stated in the Qur’an, neither the meat not the blood of the sacrificed qurbans reaches Allah, it is only our taqwa that reaches Allah. One of the requirements of this taqwa is to show our sincerity in worship with the help of sacrificing qurban. It is to keep the spirit of helping our fellow believers alive. It is to experience the joy of Eid-al-Adha together with our brothers and sisters in various parts of the world. To hold their hands, to help them, is to be the light of hope in their eyes. It is a treat for people who are in need of help to bring meat into their homes, even once a year. This offering is a requirement for us to sincerely complete the worship of sacrifice, which we are obliged to fulfill.

Qurban Project of European Aid Foundation

As the European Aid Foundation, we aim to be a bridge between all the benefactors who say “I want to help to sacrifice” and those in need, and to experience the joy of sacrifice together. We deliver qurbans slaughtered with your help to our brothers and sisters in need in various parts of the world.

First of all, we take your qurbans by proxy, and we slaughter your sacrificed qurbans by proxy on your behalf in the country where you want the qurban to be slaughtered. We continue the qurban slaughtering processes starting from the Eid prayer until the third day of the Eid, and we deliver the distribution of each slaughtered qurban to those in need within the scope of the qurban aid project.

In order to ensure reliability and transparency regarding qurban aid, we inform you about the slaughtering and distribution process, by e-mail, WhatsApp and SMS, about the condition of your sacrificial offerings that you have caused to be slaughtered by donating qurban. In addition to all our notifications, we report and share with you the photos and videos of the qurbans that we have slaughtered by proxy on your behalf.

When it comes to sacrificing qurban, the first thing that comes to mind is the Eid-al-Adha, known for the event Ibrahim. Unless there are special circumstances, we usually prefer the Eid-al-Adha for sacrificing during the year. However, there are special times in our religion when worship of sacrifice can be performed. As the European Aid Foundation, we accept not only the donations you make during the Eid-al-Adha, but also supererogatory qurban donation that are not obligatory, and we deliver the qurbans slaughtered with your deposits to those in need all over the world.

You can take a look at the following heading for detailed information about supererogatory worship of sacrifices, which usually have provisions such as sunnah and wajib and are cut for different reasons.

Sacrificed Qurban of Udhiyya

Although it is not a supererogatory worship, it is necessary to distinguish the Qurban of Udhiyya from the others. Qurban of Udhiyya is called “wajib” by Hanafi sect and “sunnah” by Shafis, and it is a worship performed by sacrificing qurbans on Eid-al-Adha.

Our God is again in the 22-36th of Surah Hajj. In the verses: “So mention the name of Allah over them (and sacrifice) while they stand on their feet. And when they fall on their side, eat them (when they die) and feed them to the poor who hide their needs. We have given these animals for your use so that you may be grateful.” he has commanded.

Therefore, the question of “Can the one who slaughters the Qurban of Udhiyya eat?” can be answered as, of course they can eat. As a matter of fact, when our Prophet Mohammed is slaughtered a qurban one day, he asked his wife Aisha if she had distributed the meat of the qurban; when he learned that they had all been distributed and only one leg remained at home, he replied: “We have all the pieces except that one leg”.

The incentives to share the meat of the sacrificed animal with the poor and family members in various verses and hadiths have created the culture of distributing a large part of the meat of the qurban among Muslims today.

As we mentioned above, as the European Aid Foundation, we buy your qurban of Udhiyya, which are obligatory and that you want to be slaughtered and distributed during Eid-al-Adha, with your power of attorney and donations, and we separate them as foreign qurban donations. Your qurbans are slaughtered in accordance with Islamic methods in the country and time you have chosen before, and they are distributed to the poor people of the region.

Qurban of Votive

The qurban of votive is a worship that is not sunnah or fard to be performed in our religion. Donating the qurban of votive means making a promise to sacrifice in the way of Allah in return for attaining one’s wish or purpose. Although we say that this worship is not among the things that should be done religiously, if the person achieves their goal after the intention is taken, it becomes obligatory to sacrifice the offering.

One of the most curious issues about the votive qurban is “who cannot eat the votive qurban?”. The votive qurban is he type of sacrifice in which the person who slaughters it cannot benefit from the meat according to our religion. Because it was dedicated to Allah by the slaughterer. Likewise, family members such as parents, children, grandparents of the person who has slaughtered the qurban of votive cannot eat the meat of the qurban. The votive qurban is distributed only to the poor.

As the European Aid Foundation, we take hundreds of votive qurban donations every year and carry out their slaughter and distribution in oppressed geographies on behalf of our valuable donors. We accept your votive qurbans throughout the year, except for the vajib qurbans during the Eid-al-Adha.

Although the prices of votive qurbans vary according to the prices of bovine and ovine animals in the countries where we slaughter, our foundation applies fixed prices in order to support its donors and encourage good deeds. The current prices of votive qurbans of our foundation is 100 Euros.

Qurban of Akika

The Akika qurban can be counted as a sacrifice of gratitude. In our religion, the qurbans that those who have a new and healthy baby slaughter to thank Allah are called Akika. Sacrificing an Akika qurban is not fard or wajib, but it is a sunnah transmitted from our Prophet Mohammed. According to what is reported from Abu Dawud, the Prophet Mohammed Mustafa said about the Akika qurban: “Every child is like a hostage in exchange for the Akika qurban that will be slaughtered for him on the seventh day (of his birth). After the Akika qurban is sacrificed, the head of the child is shaved and a name is given to them.”

Although this sacrifice can be made until the child reaches puberty in the religion of Islam, Muslims who have the opportunity to sacrifice Akika qurban in the first week of birth, based on the hadith above. The most curious issues about Akika qurban are “can Akika qurban be eaten?”, “can Akika qurban donations be made?” or “Is Akika qurban a donation?”.

Akika qurban, unlike the votive qurban, can be consumed by the slaughterer and their family. But, of course, distribution and donation are also very virtuous. Donation of Akika qurban cannot be sacrificed instead of wajib qurban during Eid-al-Adha, but it can be donated as Akika qurban. As the European Aid Foundation, we sacrifice your Akika qurban by proxy in oppressed geographies such as Africa and Asia, and we pray with your baby’s name. Our foundation’s current Akika qurban prices are 100 Euros.

Qurban of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving qurban is the qurban that is sacrificed in order to give thanks for any blessings, joy, success or achievement in our religion. The verdict of the thanksgiving qurban is not fard, wajib or sunnah, but is depends on the person the person, as in the prayer of thanksgiving.

We can say that for our donors who are looking for an answer to the question “Is the thanksgiving qurban eaten?”, family members and the person who slaughtered the meat of the thanksgiving qurban can benefit from it. For our volunteers who want to donate thanksgiving qurban, our foundation’s thanksgiving qurban prices are 100 Euros.

Qurban of Hedy and Atonement

In addition to the wajib and sunnah sacrificial prayers performed by our foundation all over the world, there is also the Hedy qurban which is sacrificed for the Kaaba by those who is able to do Hajj and Umrah together. Besides, the qurban that people who do not fulfill the conditions of the Hajj are obliged to sacrifice during the pilgrimage is the Atonement qurban. As the European Aid Foundation, we stand by you and accept your applications if you want to have a slaughter a votive qurban by dedicating a qurban to Allah, or a thanksgiving qurban to express your gratitude to Allah, or an akika qurban for your newborn child.

As we mentioned above, the price for the qurbans of votive, akika and thanksgiving, which we slaughter mainly in Africa and Asia, is 100 Euros. If you send your request to our foundation, such as “I want to donate a qurban” or “I want to have a slaughter a thanksgiving qurban, votive qurban, or akika” through the “Donation Form”, we slaughter your qurbans and distribute them to our brothers and sisters in need living in various parts of the world.

Eid-al-Adha Gift for Orphans

As the European Aid Foundation, in addition to continue to slaughtering the qurbans and delivering them to the needy during the Eid-al-Adha, giving Eid gifts to orphans is among the activities we carry our within the scope of the qurban aid project. We give clothes and shoes to orphans as gifts for Eid-al-Adha and share their happiness by taking them around and entertaining them. Eid gift aid to orphans is only 20 Euros. As the European Aid Foundation, it is our duty to make every effort so that you, who want to make orphans happy during the holidays, share and support this joy.

Which Places is the Qurban Donation Made?

When the Eid-al-Adha arrives, the most frequently asked questions by our esteemed donors or donor candidates are: “How is qurban donation made?” and “Which places is the qurban donation made?”. Qurban donation is made by the power of attorney of the person who will perform the slaughter, especially if the qurban is to be slaughtered in foreign countries or in a region where the donor cannot be found personally. There are many foundations and associations that accept donations for those who want to sacrifice an animal on Eid-al-Adha or for special reasons.

Since the day it was founded, our foundation is among the reliable foundations to donate, which accepts wajip or supererogatory qurbans, and provides information with videos and reports by slaughtering your sacrifices in hundreds of oppressed regions. When you donate your qurban through the “donate” page of our project, we get a power of attorney from you by taking your special notes, donation amount and the country you want to donate.

Afterwards, we buy healthy qurbans in the country you request, slaughter your qurban by proxy, and distribute it to those in need without wasting time. Throughout our project, we inform you via WhatsApp, e-mail and SMS, and we send you videos and photos from the people your donation reaches.

As of 2021 institutions receiving qurban donations have increased in number thanks to the rapidly developing opportunities all over the world. However, we warn our donors against fake benefactors who are malicious and aim to abuse the benefactors. Please do not trust fake organizations that do not provide you with a report of your relics during or after the project, do not promise named and visual evidence, and have no successful aid activities carried out before.

Africa Qurban Donation

Africa is the geography of wars, colonization, plunder, famine and drought. For this reason, it is one of the countries where our donors most demand to donate qurban. Access to clean water resources and healthy food is almost non-existent in Africa, which is constantly plundered, traded and divided into parcels. Every year, thousands of children, teenagers and adults die in the country from hunger, thirst or the diseases caused by them.

Although Africa qurban donation is not a permanent cure for the problems of our Muslim brothers and sisters living on the continent, while we are performing our obligatory or supererogatory prayers, they feed their children for a while with our donations and say stop to face hunger for another day.  If every Muslim continues to help regularly, maybe we can move to the next level in the fight against hunger and save our brothers and sisters from despair.

Africa qurban donation 2022 prices are 100 Euros for 1 qurban all over Africa. For our donors who are looking for an answer to the question of “how to make a qurban donation to Africa?”, we can explain the easy way to donate on our website as follows: click the “donate” button in the qurban project. Select “A group qurban project” in the donation form that opens. After entering your personal information, write down any special requests and additions in the note section. Then proceed to the payment page.

Yemen Qurban Donation

A child dies of hunger every few minutes in Yemen, where poverty and misery prevail and the civil war drags it to collapse. Not enough feeding brings millions of people closer to death every day in the country. This being the case, it is our duty to Muslims to allocate a share for the Yemen qurban donation from the sacrificial meat that our God tells us to share “first to the needy, then to our neighbors and family”.

With the valuable contributions of volunteers, our foundation slaughters dozens of qurbans in Yemen every year. If you want to meet Yemen’s need for a plate of food and a bite to eat, you can donate your qurban for Yemen by going to our donation page.

Palestine Qurban Donation

Palestine, where occupation, war and poverty are increasing every year, is among the regions where the most qurban donations are made by our foundation’s valuable volunteers. In order to donate a qurban to Palestine, you can send your sacrifice to our Palestinian brothers and sisters by choosing the “Qurban Project Group C” option from our “qurban donation” page.

Other Countries We Have Delivered Qurban Donations

As the European Aid Foundation, the qurbans we received with the trust and power of attorney of our donors within the scope of Qurban Project were sent to Bagladesh, Rohingya refugees, Somalia, Chad, Niger and Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Mongolia and Yemen, Bosnia, Kosovo, Syria refugees, Palestine and those in need in Turkey. You can donate to the country of your choice via the donate qurban page to be a hot meal for a household today or on Eid-al-Adha.

With your donations, you can choose the region where the slaughter and distribution of the qurban will be made on our donation page and add your special notes. If you have questions, you can easily reach us from the contact section.

Is It Permissible to Donate a Qurban Abroad?

One of the most frequently asked questions during the wajip qurban, especially for the Eid-al-Adha, is “Is it permissible to donate a qurban abroad?”. From time to time, we get questions from our donors such as “Is it permissible to donate qurbans to Africa?”. Our precious donors, in our religion it is permissible to have slaughtered a qurban and sacrifice a qurban by proxy. Therefore, as long as a power of attorney is taken from you, sacrificing in your name in any part of the world is accepted as permissible by the jurists.

As the European Aid Foundation, we share the sacrificial qurbans donated as wajip, supererogatory and sunnah with our Muslim brothers and sisters in oppressed geographies. However, if one of you is wondering whether it is permissible to distribute the meat of the qurban to non-Muslims, the answer is quite clear in our religion. In the words of our God and Prophet, qurban donation is an act of worship that is recommended to be distributed “firstly to the needy, then to the neighbors and family members”. The religion of the people to whom the meat of the qurban will be distributed is not mentioned here. On the contrary, giving the
